but what if ... just what if microsofts bet pays off and every little kid in the land wants one and 10 million casual gamers jump ship from the wii and buy an xbox with Kinect?
What will the droids, who denied the sales game when the gap between 360 and ps3 was around 8 million (up from 5 million after the PS3 launch) and have now embraced the sales game since the gap shrunk to 3 million units, say?
What will the droids say if the gap goes up again as a r...
last year PS3 owners would say this is because the 360 was out a year longer etc etc ..
But now that the install base is down to only 3 million, what do they say?
that's a difference of 4 million ...
http://gamingbolt.com/2010/...
And I love how PS3 fans, now quick to show PS3 has reduced the lead are suddently reporting the gap at 9 or even 10 million ... but two years ago they were down playing it at 6 or 7 million ... when ALL sites reported at at just over 8 million ....
The sales game ....
My favourite - definitly agree with Star Con 2 though !!!!
Kinect has always been aimed at the casual market. There hasn't been a single demo (CGI or other) that has hinted at any hard core games?
Xbox360 at present is not a casual system (except for about 3 games ... banjo, viva pinata, lego batman etc)
So, the WHOLE POINT of kinect is to attract NEW gamers ... not existing gamers?
Why is that funny? It's simple? it's no surprise either?
weere dirt cheap within a month of relase ... due to poor initial sales ... like all PS3 exclusives, they only sell well in the long run because the proce drops ...
reminds me of the time Darkride44 did some namby metacritic comparison and didn't show any working whatsoever, a ps3 fan boy posting ps3 fanboy news ... lol ... swings and roundabouts
They used the Killzone realism effect, you know when you're holding skii poles it'd make your movements slightly sluggish and therefore the movemt needs to be deliberatly slowed down .. it's realism .. its a reality simulator ..
you guys are waaay behind ... Killzone 2 is old news and so is reality
look at everyone flocking to use it ... clearly the browser implementation of it was severly flawed ... well done PS3 catching up again
That graphic excludes a few things worth noting.
Once you buy the Kinect, you have all the pieces. So let's go the next step for the single guy. He wants to play Child of Eden on his Kinect - he just buys the game. But he wants to play the brawler game on Move. He has to go out and buy *another* Move wand for $49, bringing it up to $150. Then he wants to play Sorcery. He needs a Navigational Sub Controller or whatever at $29 which is not included in the 99 package as f...
Lol .. .that's what I thought when I saw the KZ3 trailer ...
they suck. simple as. suck!
I'd say all Sony have to do is turn up ..... totally unimpressed with the M$ show.
Although how anyone thought Natal/Kinect was ever going to be for anything other than casual I don't know .... But I think what they have shown is poor even for that market ...
A few good games in the M$ line, but overall no amazingly new ideas ... slim ... WTF ....
Sony just have to show up, turn on the lights and Booom ... they can have it .... ...
They have some better things to show for Kinetic because what's been shown so far is very unimpressive ...
I also hope there's some good things to be shown not kinetic related as I really do'nt care much for it in it's present state ...
it's 100% not hardcore. That's like saying viva pinata is hardcore because it some parts are hard ....
it's a kiddies game with pretty cartoony graphics ...
and neither is viva Pinata.
our super expensive 3D tv or you can't play our games ...
bought a slim even though they already owned a fatty ... ?
Were relased as being Halo Killers
I think that's pretty funny ....
are you kidding me that some poeplestill deny KZ2 had controller lag issues. If it wasn't a problem they would never have patched it.
I bet KZ3 won't have the same "realism effect" ...
